How to get PGN-notation games

Emailing yourself a personal game

1. In the ICC, enter the command set mailformat 1 ("one", not "L") to change your default game format to PGN. You only need to do this once.

2. Type history to see your recent games. (Note: you must be a registered ICC member to have a game history maintained.) Alternatively, you may use history <handle> to see another member's recent games.

3. Type mailstored <handle> <game-number>, where game-number is the same as in the history list. For example, I would type mailstored Slimemold 27 to have game 27 of Slimemold's history emailed to me.

For more information, see the help files for history and mailstored.

Emailing yourself an historic game

ICC maintains a database of GrandMaster and International Master games. See the help files for search and examine.
